Change Address - How to Notify the National Taxation Bureau
If your address changes, you need to notify the National Taxation Bureau to ensure that you can receive the tax refund or letter from the bureau. There are several methods to notify the National Taxation Bureau of address changes:
When declaring the tax form
If you change your address before filing the tax form, you should fill in your new address on the tax form at the time of filing. When we process the tax form, we will update your records. In addition, be sure to notify your tax agent.
Notify the post office
If you change your address after filing your tax return, you should notify the post office that provides services for the old address area. Because not all post offices can forward government checks, you should also notify the National Taxation Bureau directly as described below.
Through the table
To change your registered address with the National Taxation Bureau, you can fill out Form 8822 [Address Change (Personal, Gift, Inheritance or Intergenerational Transfer Tax Form)] (in English) and/or Form 8822-B [Address or Responsible Party Change - Enterprise] (in English), and send the form to the address listed in the form.
